Destiny Beta Dates for the PS4, Xbox One - $150 Ghost Edition Revealed
The beta for Destiny begins on the 23rd of July for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, however, it will start earlier for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on July 17.
According to Activision, the two expansion packs, 'The Dark Below' and the 'House of Wolves' will also be available in the Beta. The Beta will have a "diverse sampling of major activities" for this first-person shooter game.
The beta test for the title will be offline on the 21st and 22nd of July and will end on July 27.
"As we prepare to launch our first beta on multiple console platforms around the world, we are excited and eager to open the floodgates," Bungie president Harold Ryan said in a statement, "We already love to play Destiny, and with your help we can be ready for our launch in September."
The Destiny Expansion Pass, which costs $35, will include two expansions that have new missions, "cooperative activities, and competitive multiplayer arenas," according to Gamespot.
They will also release 3 collector's edition of the game.
The first one is 'Destiny Limited Edition,' which is offered for $100. It has a limited edition SteelBook Case and game disc, a Destiny expansion pass, a guardian portfolio, and a collector's edition digital content pack.
The heavier version, 'Destiny Ghost Edition,' will cost $150. It will have all the features of 'Destiny Limited Editon' plus a letter of introduction, a Ghost Replica that has motion activated lights and specialized voice recording from Peter Dinklage, and other Golden Age Relics memorabilia.
The last one is the 'Destiny Digital Guardian Edition,' which will be sold for $90. It has access to the Collector's Edition Digital Content Pack, an expansion pass and a serial number for a digital copy of Destiny.
The official launch of Destiny will be on September 9 for Xbox One, PS3 and PS4.
