Chicago Bulls Point Guard Derrick Rose Injured & Out For The Remaining 2013-14 Season

Chicago Bulls fans will be sad to know that point guard, Derrick Rose will be out for the rest of the 2013-14 season due tearing his meniscus in his right knee.

Rose suffered from an ACL injury to his left knee last season has underwent surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

During the third quarter Saturday against the Portland Trail Blazers, Rose made a backdoor cut, which in return caused his right knee to buckle as he planted his left foot.

Rose exited the game and Portland's arena on crutches during the middle of the game. Players offered support, but have not went on to discuss Rose's injury in detail.

Bulls coach, Tom Thibodeau addressed the state of the team without Rose saying, "We're the Chicago Bulls. We have one goal and that's to win. I believe we have the personnel in that locker room to get it done. We know we don't have to change our style of play. We're built on defense and rebounding."

"We're hoping for the best. We, of course, feel very badly for Derrick. I talked to him at length (Saturday) night. He's in good spirits, about as well as can be expected under the circumstances. And he's already thinking about his rehab. Typical Derrick, he's concerned about his team, his teammates. He's such a great teammate along with being a great player. That being said, we can't feel sorry for ourselves."
