Super Bowl XLI champion and current AFC Champions Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning battles his former team (the Indianapolis Colts) when the NFL franchises face off this weekend.
"[New England Patriots QB Tom] Brady said he was going to play until he ... sucked. That's a pretty good line. I'm kind of the same feel. I don't have a set number," said Manning, according to an ESPN report in reference to what age the veteran athlete plans to retire from the NFL.
"Some guys can hang on, can hang on and hang on and get another year vested, I guess, if that's the goal. If you can really produce and help a team, and you enjoy playing, I think that's up to the individual... Yeah, right until you suck -- I think that's a pretty good rule right there."
The Colts current QB Andrew Luck talks about the constant comparisons he receives in reference to replacing Manning (via the NFL Draft) after the Colts released Manning (after a second neck surgery) on March 7, 2012.
"To be honest, even since Day 1 here, it hasn't been an issue. I never came in saying, 'Oh, I have to replace a legend, one of the greatest of all-time,'" said Luck to reporters, "Professional sports people, they come and they go. Someone's going to replace me eventually, hopefully later rather than sooner."
The game will begin at 8:30 pm. ET and can be watched on TV on the NBC network or online through live stream by clicking here.
