Old meets new as all eyes will be on veteran, first ballot Hall of Famer Peyton Manning as he takes on the man that took his job in Indy, next-gen prototype Andrew Luck.

As if the pressure wasn't already high enough for both players, Colts owner Jim Irsay opened his big, rich mouth and complained earlier in the week, on camera, about how Peyton Manning couldn't win more than one Super Bowl championship during his regular season reign in Indianapolis.

"We've changed our model a little bit, because we wanted more than one of these," said Irsay, motioning to his Super Bowl ring "(Tom) Brady never had consistent numbers, but he has three of these," Irsay adds. "Pittsburgh had two, the Giants had two, Baltimore had two and we had one. That leaves you frustrated."

Manning, focused in on preparing for the game, has made the smarter decision and not said anything about his previous owner's comments.

Was Irsay blabbing about lack of Super Bowl championships or was this a clever off-field way of getting inside Manning's head? He mentioned how Manning doesn't do well in big games. By calling out the former Colts quarterback is Irsay making the matchup against the Broncos, a "big game?" A "big" enough game to fluster Manning?

Either way, what Irsay didn't realize is, any additional pressure he's filled Peyton's head with, he's also added to his own franchise quarterback, Andrew Luck.

Sure, Luck has already led his team to a playoff berth and multiple comeback victories. But he's going up against a good Denver defense, and an offense that can put up 40 points easily.

We'll see how it all plays out tonight when the Denver Broncos take on the Indianapolis Colts tonight at 8:30 PM on NBC.
