Demi Lovato and Lady Gaga Feud? Twitter Posts Sees 'Let it Go' Singer Criticize Gaga for 'Glamorizing' Eating Disorders

After Lady Gaga's controversial SXSW performance, Demi Lovato went on Twitter to voice her disapproval regarding performance artist Millie Brown vomiting all over the "Applause" and "Poker Face" pop vocalist.

Lovato's recent struggles with eating disorders and addiction are publicly known, and so she was quick to mention that Brown forcing herself to vomit all over Gaga was distasteful. Lovato said that Gaga was promoting eating disorders and that the performance was not "cool" in any shape or form.

"Putting the word ART in it isn't a free card to do whatever you want without consequences," tweeted Lovato on her official Twitter page on March 14. Sad... As if we didn't have enough people glamorizing eat disorders already.

Despite some passionate feedback from irate Gaga fans, Lovato continued to warn people regarding the negative ways pop culture can impact other people, especially someone with a lot of influence as Gaga.

"All I'm saying is, artists in pop culture have influence on people. Some of which are people who aren't capable of understanding the art that is that is expressed by their idols. Young people who are struggling to figure out their identities are seriously influenced by the things they see their idols do. Whether we intend to or not, artists influence people of ALL ages and unfortunately what people see, people do. Hair, clothes and sometimes misinterpreting things, therefore using the excuse of art to engage in self-destructive behaviors," wrote Lovato on her official Twitter page on March 14.

In spite of her criticism of Gaga's actions, Lovato also mentioned to everybody that was still a huge Lady Gaga fan.

"Ps. I'm still a little monster myself," wrote Lovato via Twitter on March 14.
