Days of Our Lives characters are now in the middle of an intense investigation following Nick Fallon's death. Lucas has become the main suspect while EJ's hired hit-man is presumed innocent. Eve Donovan is also returning to Days since the production relinquished the character in the story in 1991.

Fallon's death is still a mystery and the Hope and Salem Police are carrying out their investigations to capture the culprit.

Eric and Nicole are planning their wedding, but that's not a good thing for the former's sister, Sami. However, the intended wedding may be in jeopardy if Nicole continues to hide the truth from her husband-to-be.

Meanwhile, Days of Our Lives original character, Eve Donovan, returns as Theresa's "bad sister". The character was initially written for the soap in 1987 as a prostitute but was eliminated in 1991. Donovan will be played by Kassie DePaiva, who also starred in One Life to Live (2013), We Are What We Are (2013), and General Hospital (2012).

Fans are hopeful that DePaiva's addition to the cast will bring justice to Donovan's role of causing chaos in the Salem community.

In her statement, DePaiva said, "This is a whole new network and a whole new group of people. I'm a very seasoned soap opera actress. But at the same time, I think with that comes a great expectation, and I just want to live up to everyone's expectations."
