Dave Chappelle Tour News: Funny Man Dave Chappelle Responds to Hartford Crowd "Wanted to pull a Reverse Kramer " Bashes the Crowd during a Show in Chicago. AUDIO of his Rant Inside!
After being booed off stage when during a comedy show last week in Hartford, Connecticut, Dave Chappelle said he wanted to "pull a reverse Kramer" on the audience. What is a "reverse Kramer" exactly? Seinfeld's Michael Richards (Kramer)threw racial slurs at African-American members of his audience during a stand-up show he did back in 2006.
The whole comedy show was going well until Chappelle somehow went from telling jokes to reading passages out of a book, smoking cigarettes, and ranting on a number of topics. Audience members started to get antsy and they let their frustrations be verbally known by screaming things out and interrupting Chappelle. Chappelle stood onstage and said he would just run the clock out for his required twenty-five minutes of stage time and that's exactly what he did before he walked off stage.
Chappelle did a show in Chicago and as usual he went on a rant. He told the Chicago crowd that the Hartford crowd was a bunch of "young, white alcoholics." He also said,
"I don't want anything bad to happen to the United States, but if North Korea ever drops a nuclear bomb on this country, I swear to God I hope it lands in Hartford, Connecticut."
"I wanted to pull a reverse Kramer and call em all crackers or something crazy like that, I know that shit'll be on YouTube. [With the headline] 'Funnyman Dave Chappelle calls a room full of white people "crackers.' I couldn't do that. I felt bad when Kramer did that shit to us."
Personally, I am not surprised, I mean its Dave Chappelle what do you expect. He's hilarious and is somebody you don't want to challenge. You can listen to the audio from his Chicago comedy show down below the article and let me know what you think. Was Chappelle's rant justifiable or has he lost it?
