Daniel Craig News: 'James Bond' Actor Daniel Craig Injured while Filming 'Spectre'

According to La Repubblica, an Italian media site, 'James Bond' star Daniel Craig reportedly suffered a head injury while filming the latest Bond film, Spectre, in Rome.

Craig was in an Aston Martin DB10 while a stuntman was driving the vehicle in a cage fixed on the roof. The car hit one of the infamous potholes of Rome and the 46-year-old actor hit his head on the car's interior. The on-set doctor was called, and Craig was attended to. However, the injury proved to be minor as Craig was seen flying to London as scheduled.

The scene being filmed has been a car chase. According to the Associated Press, the Corsa Vittorio Emanuele II road had been closed off to civilians for the filming. Craig was being chased by Dave Bautista, who plays Bond villain Mr. Hinx for the film, in a Jaguar C-X75.

According to the Los Angeles Times, ten models of the Aston Marin DB10 have been made exclusively for the Bond films. Spectre is the 24th film of the super-spy franchise. Production for the newest film began back in December of last year and is shot throughout many hot spot locations besides Rome such as Tangier, Mexico City, London, Pinewood Studios and the Australian alps.

The film, along with Craig and Bautista, also stars Naomie Harris as Miss Moneypenny, Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser, Ben Whishaw as Q, Ralph Fiennes as M, Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, Andrew Scott as Denbigh and Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner. The film is directed by Sam Mendes, who also directed Bond film Skyfall.

Spectre is scheduled to premiere in theaters in November of this year.
