Daniel Bryan Injury Update: Wrestler Will Not Return in 2015 Due to Injury Problems
Wrestling fans are beginning to worry about the fate of Royal Rumble 2015 and Wrestlemania 31, as Daniel Bryan's injury is not showing any signs of improvement.
In a report by Inquisitr, 40 wrestlers will be seen in and out of the ring at the next Royal Rumble event in 2015.
According to reports by Total Divas, Bryan was relying on alternative medicine instead of surgery, which is why there has been no improvement. However, reports from other sources have claim that Bryan will eventually need Tommy John Surgery, which involves the reconstruction of his arm.
Reportedly, Bryan has not had the best arm strength of late, but the rumors about his absence from the ring mention a neck injury instead.
Beyond that, Tommy John Surgery requires approximately six to twelve months of recovery time, so it's going to be a while before Bryan becomes active in the ring again.
With the Wrestlemania coming up on March 29, 2015, there's little chance that he will be able to participate, even if he opts to postpone the surgery.
According to Brad Davis of SEScoops, there has been no improvement in Bryan's arm for quite some time.
"Backstage at RAW from Atlanta, a lot of the talent was talking about the fact Bryan may be getting the 'Tommy John Surgery,'" he said.
"The medical term for the procedure is as ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) reconstruction, a surgical graft procedure in which the ulnar collateral ligament in the medial elbow is replaced with a tendon from elsewhere in the body."
As is stands, it has not been confirmed that Bryan will be getting the Tommy John Surgery. However, if he does, fans will surely hope and pray for a speedy recovery.
