'Pretty Little Liars' Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy have been romantically linked after their apparent and undeniable chemistry was seen by fans on the kick off presentation of 'Dancing With The Stars' Season 19.

However, older brother Maksim Chmerkovskiy said that the public tends to confuse chivalry with flirting and that it's more important to develop chemistry as dancing partners than anything else.

In an interview with TIME, Val dishes out details about his female partner who is among the youngest contestants of the show. "Janelle is one of those kids who grew up having a natural flair for performance," he said.

"She did singing and acting, but musical theater was the thing she really loved to do. She took some dance classes to complement that. She knows how to move and has some stage presence and she kept up with it, so she has been introduced to dancing before, but has never worked on ballroom dancing in her life," 28-year-old Chmerkovskiy said.

According to Hollywood Life, Janel and Val had a few interesting moments backstage after their ballroom dance. An insider leaked photos where the two was spotted very close to each other. Reportedly, Janel uttered "I love you" and emphasized that she wanted better scores.

In a tweet, Maks defended his brother saying that the rumored kiss to Janel was only a gentleman's act. The 25-year-old actress is known to be in a relationship with Payson Lewis, who is known for films like 'Dead Love' (2009), 'A Circle of Jerks' (2008), and 'A Fish Tale' (2008).
