ABC is trying its best to ensure that 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 21 begins with a strong note and, hence, is trying to rope in a set of stars to hit the dance floor in September. While several names of potential participants are doing the rounds online, none has been confirmed yet. Among the latest in the lineup is the 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' star Scott Disick.

Latin Post reports that the Hollywood Life claimed an insider told them that the reality star may possibly shift to the dance floor, following the footsteps of fellow 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' regulars Kim Kardashian and Rob Kardashian, who competed in the reality show's Seasons seven and 13, respectively. New regarding Disick's possibility of joining the show came after Season 19 winner Alfonso Ribeiro revealed to E! News that Caitlyn Jenner will not be participating in the upcoming installment of the long-running show.

The source told the news outlet, "He [Disick] really wants to do it because it would allow him to make money, be close to the kids and show the world he isn't such a wildcard that he has made himself out to be," adding, "He wants to show that he actually wants to change his ways and show Kourtney the man she fell in love with. Since 'Dancing' will not be getting Caitlyn (Jenner) they have reached out to others in the Kardashian clan and Scott is high on their radar and has been asked."

Meanwhile, 'Dancing with the Stars' executive producer Rob Wade and co-executive producer Deena Katz shared few new details regarding the upcoming season of the show with Glamour.

They r admitted they are almost completed casting the celebrities. Wade said, "We're about 4/5 of the way there. We like to be around [this number] since we're a very current show. The premiere of the show is still over a month and a half away, which is a long time. So you want to see [who's current in the news]."

However, no one is confirmed to appear on 'Dancing with the Stars' yet, but several names have come up, including Chace Crawford, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Ricky Schroeder and Shay Mitchell. Earlier this year, Mitchell told the Examiner that she would mull over joining the competition if the opportunity comes up.

'Dancing with the Stars' Season 21 will reveal the official cast of the next season on Sept. 14 on ABC.
