'Dancing With The Stars' Season 20 Contestant News: Rumer Willis Leads With Perfect Score
Rumer Willis is holding her own as one of the competitors on Dancing With the Stars this season.
So far, she has made an effort to prove that she deserves the top prize in the competition by getting perfect scores for two of her dances on "America's Choice" and "Trios" night, doing the 8th week of competition on Monday.
She received a total of 80 out of 80 points on the show, from fans, who gave input on the dancers' music, costumes and the tone of their routines.
Willis and her partner, Val Chmerkovsky, chose a rumba, after which she and Artem Chigvinstev danced a Pasodoble trio.
The judges praised her classic artistry in the performance. The victories of the dancing couple were not expected. Last week, they ranked in the bottom two, with rehearsal footage showing Chermkovsky crying after the show last week.
Willis had also had suffered with a bout of whiplash after her partner dipped her.
The second runner up, closest to Willis' perfect score, was Riker Lynch, who scored 78 points out of the 80 possible points. Nastia Liukin came third, scoring 76 points out of 80. Her partner, Derek Hough was still injured, so she danced with Sasha Farber.
Tuesday night was set to be a double elimination round. This means that the three lower scorers in the group will have a reason to worry. These include Robert Herjavec, Noah Galloway and Chris Soules.
Hervajec earned the lowest place, with 62 out of 80 points. Galloway and his partner got 63 points from judges, and Soules earned 64.
