The Dallas Mavericks (36-26) will play against the Portland Trail Blazers (42-19) at American Airlines Center tonight in Dallas.

Being at home and playing terrible competition have propelled the Portland Trail Blazers back to their winning ways.

However, the Trail Blazers have not played well recently on the road or versus teams with winning records, and they will be tested in both categories during a stretch that starts tonight against the Dallas Mavericks.

This game begins the first of two five-game road trips in March for Portland, which has played seven of their last eight games at home since the All-Star break. The first four teams on this road trip are all above .500: Dallas, Houston, Memphis and San Antonio Portland's current road trip ends next Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans.

"It's going to be a really tough road trip for us," said forward LaMarcus Aldridge after Wednesday's 102-78 victory versus the Atlanta Hawks adding. "But if we go out and take care of business and keep playing defense like we did tonight, anything is possible."

The Blazers permitted season lows for points and 33% field-goal percentage as their defense continued to spark their resurgence after a 3-7 slump. 

The Mavericks are currently in a slump, after losing a season-high three straight games after they previously won 10 of 12 games. They have now given up over 110 points per game on the road in the past two games, including a 115-110 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night.
