Daft Punk New Album & Tour 2013, 'Random Access Memories' Release Date May 21, 'Global Album Launch Party' Tour May 17 (VIDEO)

Daft Punk is back with their new album Random Access Memories on May 21st after

Their new single "Get Lucky" featuring Pharrell Williams is a good jam and has already hit record numbers on Spotify.

The duo have selected Wee Waa, Australia as the location to kick off their world tour.  Daft Punk will not actually perform at the Wee Waa Showground on the night of May 17 but only playing music videos and streaming the full album, which will be streaming online worldwide as well.

Maybe the biggest appeal to Daft Punk is the fact that they are so difficult to see live. At the Coachella music festival the fans didn't get left totally hanging as they got to see the teaser clip of Daft Punk's new song "Get Lucky".

And although Daft Punk did not perform, it is said that they were in fact at Coachella watching in the VIP section with Pharrell as this clip was being played. Such a tease they are.

Fans can expect to hear a different side of Daft Punk as they step away from trendy computerized sounds of past albums in favor of a more unique sound.

"Electronic music is in its comfort zone its not moving one inch" Bangalter is quoted as saying, so as they leave their electronic origins behind, fans will hear a new funkier Daft Punk with a live element.

Rumors are circulating that the lineup on their world tour will be full of incredible guest performers that they collaborated with on the new album.

No Tour dates have been officially released though, so we will have to wait and see.
