Daft Punk New Album 2013 Tour Details. The French Group Talks About The Logistics of Touring New Album "Random Access Memories"
Daft Punk New Album 2013 Tour
French artists Daft Punk have told sources recently that they won't be touring their new album, Random Access Memories, "any time soon" because it's "not possible."
Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter said in an interview that they wanted fans to focus on the album and not on any live shows. When asked if Daft Punk would be going on tour, Bangalter replied: 'Not any time soon.' He added: 'We want to focus attention on the record itself, but also the nature of this record makes it not really possible to tour it.
"Maybe in the future we'll have the ability to add some of these songs into our repertoire, whether in the way we have in the past or in some different ways - but that's something we'll experiment with in the future."
De Homem-Christo revealed that even their friends had been asking if they would be going on tour.
"The record is full of so much stuff. There's a lot to digest. You can live with it for a longer period of time than you would with another album. Touring will come later."
The duo recently told Australia's Triple J radio that they didn't have any plans to tour Random Access Memories, which is out May 20. They said: "We spent five years working on this record. That's really the first step by releasing it is we'd like to have people experience the record as the focal point."
