Spotify wasn't around the last time Daft Punk put out a album.  However, they are back and quickly showing that they have not lost their ability to connect in a huge way.

Daft Punk have broken Spotify streaming records to date with their new single "Get Lucky" off of their upcoming record Random Access Memories releasing May 21st on Columbia Records. The new single, "Get Lucky", the first from the French duo in eight years, had the biggest first day of streams on Spotify globally since the service began.

Will Hope, director of label relations at Spotify, said: "The robots have once again shown themselves to be true innovators, not only with their new musical direction and the stellar cast of collaborators they're working with, but also by undertaking one of the best album campaigns we've seen for some time. We expect the album to become one of the biggest, if not the biggest, on Spotify this year."
