French megagroup Daft Punk has had tremendous critical success with the release of their latest album Random Access Memories. The success has carried over into their online presence, as they break one Spotify record and seem poised to break another. As of the time of this writing, their hit "Get Lucky" has streamed on Spotify more than 28 million times. We only know that number since Spotify recently started displaying their stream counts.

The album that "Get Lucky" is from, Random Access Memories, is also enjoying Spotify success. Even though the album was available earlier on iTunes, fully legal, streaming in its' entirety. This shows a shift in the saw that new music is consumed and discovered. The shift has gone from purchasing iTunes music to streaming. Now, Spotify has revealed that Random Access Memories is on pace to be their biggest streaming album yet.

At this rate, Daft Punk's new album will surpass Mumford & Sons 'Babel' on the Spotify streaming charts, though it says this is in the US only. Mumford & Sons' Babel hit past 8 million streams in its first seven days in the US last year, the window for Daft Punk to break the record is quickly closing.
