Christian singer and songwriter Crystal Lewis just put out the first single for her upcoming album, and it is a remix of her smash 1996 No. 1 hit, "People Get Ready...Jesus is Coming."

Yesterday the single was released for adds to Christian radio stations, and the single is getting a second life nearly 20 years later.

"This has long been one of my favorite songs to perform live, as the message remains relevant to each and every generation," Lewis said, "I've been a hip-hop/r+b/gospel fan from the get-go, so adding some of that flavor to this, one of my favorite songs, seems like the perfect next step"¦yes, even as a veteran artist there are next steps!"

Her new albums is called 25, which will symbolize the singer's 25 years of ministry and top 25 songs, "People Get Ready...Jesus is Coming" is definitely her most well known song, and on this album she put a hip-hop mix on it. It features Propaganda and Peace 586.

Lewis has made 13 albums since 1987. Seven of those have been redone in Spanish. She also has sold over a million records worldwide.
