The BAU meets their new section chief, Mateo Cruz, who, unbeknownst to them, shares a long work history with JJ. Cruz joins the team as they comb the streets of Baltimore for an UnSub who leaves victims unable to communicate.

JJ has officially lost it. Esai Morales is the new man in charge over at BAU. JJ isn't too happy with his new boss Matt Cruz either, after striking some beef while working in the State Department with him.

"She is completely shocked he's there. She is flipping out! It's kind of funny. He plays it cool, but she doesn't know how to react. She definitely was not expecting to see him walk through the door, that's for sure," Morales told TVGuide.com.
