After a well-received premiere on October 1, 'Criminal Minds' Season 10 is ready to daze and amaze its fans. On that note, the show's producer Erica Messer is excited to have Jennifer Love Hewitt on board as Kate Callahan.

"She's so lovely it's hard to not like her and then it feels like it would be playing something really false to have any kind of conflict there and also it's a little bit of a learning curve when we introduced Blake back in season 8 [and] there was a little bit of internal conflict," Messer said. She praised the actress for being professional and seamlessly fitting into the cast.

After clocking 11.6 million viewers, according to Nielsen for premiere episode, The BAU team deals with killings and abductions in the second episode "Burn." The unsub in the episode has a ritual flavor about his murders, which may remind you of Dexter. In addition, C.S. Lee who played Vince Masuka on the 'Dexter' series will be portraying Justin Leu, a creepy high school English teacher.

In addition, the second episode hails back to last season's finale when Spencer Reid was shot. The incident makes Garcia's stress disorder worse for sure as she will face the man she shot in order to keep Reid alive.

Messer has also added for third episode "The third episode is a little bit of a departure because we're doing a massive plane wreck and it turns out it's not terrorism the way you would anticipate it...visually it feels like a feature and we really went big and we usually don't go that big that early in the season for a number of reasons but CBS was very much behind it so we went for it,"

'Criminal Minds' Season 10 Episode 3 is entitled, "A Thousand Suns', and airs October 15.
