On the brink of its 10th season, the hit TV series 'Criminal Minds' is set to premiere in September. Stars of the show have stepped forward and revealed some promising turn of events for the forthcoming installment.

Recently, a Twitter post from the show's account sparked much speculation about the upcoming premiere episode. The post linked a picture of a prosthetic leg that appeared to be severed, this of course, has gone viral.

Joe Mantegna, the actor who plays David Rossi, confirmed in a recent interview that he is set to direct another episode in the upcoming season. Although Mantegna did not go into details, the show's creator, Erica Messer, talked about the characters Blake and Hotch's story in an interview with TV Guide. Messer hinted that Hotch's text message, the one he received on the jet in the season finale last May, was from Blake. While Messer only hinted, many fans believe Blake was the one who sent the message.

The latest addition to hit series' powerhouse cast is actress Jennifer Love-Hewitt. According to reports, the actress is set to play Kate Callahan, an undercover agent who will be joining BAU.

In the finale of Season 9, one of the main characters Alex Blake, played by actress Jeanne Tripplehorn, supposedly handed in her resignation from the unit. Talks about a new character taking her place have since kept fans excited.

'Criminal Minds' initially aired in 2005; the show's story mainly revolves around characters in the 'Behavioral Analysis Unit' (BAU) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation led by agents Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), Jennifer Jareau (AJ Cook) and David Rossi.

In light of its most recent addition, and with the help of Love-Hewitt's acting skills and star power, the show is set to be a sure-fire hit.
