By starting in the year of 1979, right in the middle of a gas crisis, the acclaimed Creation Festival has become a concert series that has guaranteed to make you summer or even maybe, your life.

Co-founder Tim Landis began the festival after dropping out of school to hold 7-8 concerts a year in hometown, Lancaster, PA. The original name of the concert series was Jesus Music, since then the name has been changed to the "Creation Festival". The organization is under the direction of Creative Ministries and Come Alive Ministries, both non-profit organizations.

The Creation festival is strictly an event that all people can come together and hear the Gospel through great music and learn the teachings of Jesus Christ. The festival is hitting its 35^th birthday as one of Christian music's leading festivals.

Creation Festival consists of two, four day festivals that are held in the United States, called Creation Northwest and Creation Northeast. The average attendance during these two festivals have hit its highest mark at 50-100,000 people. Both the four-day festivals include up to 60 Christian rock, contemporary and worship bands.  The event is also hosted  by Christian speakers and key note authors throughout the day to spread the gospel and their testimony. 

Creation Festival is beginning to gear up for the big celebration this year on June 26-29 in Mt.Union, PA. The festival is going to feature artists as Skillet, Switchfoot, Newsboys, Chris Tomlin and latest award winning R&B artist Lecrae.

Creation Fest will hit the Northwest August 7-10 in Enumclaw,WA at the Enumclaw Expo Center. 

Along with having plenty of concerts for all the Christian music loving fans, there will also be games and outside activities for the children. For the children, there will also be a 'childrens stage, which will include kid entertainers that are geared more towards the smaller age group.Over the years, the festival has been known to have petting zoos, fireworks, extreme-sports, and volleyball matches. 

The festival will also be including daily candle lighting, baptisms, and communions to celebrate the mercy of God.  The Creation Festival has more then one different package available to experience the festivities this year.
