Cory Monteith Autopsy Scheduled for Monday / How Will "Glee" Go On After Monteith's Death? Season 5 Premiere September 19
Glee star Cory Monteith was found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver Saturday. Interim Vancouver Police Chief Doug LePard ruled out foul play and is awaiting an official autopsy set for Monday, July 15 2013.
Though Monteith was a known substance abuser, who even voluntarily checked himself into rehab, the police still have little to confirm to determine cause of death.
British Columbia Chief Coroner Lisa Lapointe said the autopsy will be the most significant lead in the investigation.
"The exact nature of those examinations will depend on investigative findings within the next day or two as information is gathered from medical records and discussions with family take place," she said.
How will Glee go on after the death of one of its beloved characters?
It's still too soon to really speculate. Fox network heard about Monteith's death late Saturday and have no plans yet on how to tackle the show moving forward.
Way to go Hollywood. Forget the business for a second and pay some respects to an actor and friend who was beloved by his peers and referred to as an upbeat, kind soul, who happened to battling drug addiction.
Still, Glee producers can't be completely shocked by Monteith's death. Cory was forced to miss the final episodes of Glee season 4 because he was in rehab.
Production for Glee season 5 kicks off in a little less than a month. The season 5 premiere is scheduled for September 19 2013. Will Monteith's real life girlfriend Lea Michele be returning to Glee?
