Colton Dixon Hits #1 with "Never Gone"

Colton Dixon, hailing from Murfreesboro,Tn, has had quite a memorable and life-changing year. Since becoming a crowd favorite on season 11 of American Idol and making it into the final 7, also having a shocking exit, he has been on a whirl wind ride. Dixon's song "Never Gone" is currently the #1 song on Itunes in the Christian category and he also holds the #4 spot with his song "You Are". Both songs are off of his debut album, A Messenger, released on January 29, 2013.

Colton got a huge affirmation of achievement when on Tuesday's American Idol, front runner Angela Miller sang one of his own songs. Miller did a stunning piano style arrangement of Dixon's song, "Never Gone." Being so newly removed from Idol himself, it was an honor for him. He even posted a picture on his instagram (@coltondixonmusic) of his reaction to watching Miller sing his song live on TV.

Dixon is currently out on The Miracle tour with veteran Christian southern rockers, Third Day, and special guest, singer-songwriter, Josh Wilson. This is a 45-city tour that opened up on Feb. 21st in Fairfax,Va., and will hit major markets like Memphis, Dallas, Birmingham, Atlanta, Nashville, Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, Chicago and many more before wrapping up in mid-May. The tour has sold extremely well and Third Day and the crowd in Lynchburg,VA couldn't resist from making their own Harlem Shake video.
