CM Punk News: WWE Star Officially Retired - Wrestler Unable to Physically Perform

After much concern from fans about WWE star CM Punk's return to the ring, an official statement has been released saying that the wrestler will retire from the WWE.

The superstar who has recently married is long time girlfriend A.J Lee, was scheduled to return from his sabbatical after their honeymoon, but the wrestler never will.

Although Punk is still under contract with WWE until July, there has been no confirmation that Punk will appear in the ring any time soon.

Punk soon after confirmed his retirement in a report from his recent interview with Ernest Wilkins for Red Eye Chicago, "It feels good. It's a lot easier when you hook up with organizations like the Cubs and being friends with some of the team members. It isn't hard to support their charities. Plus I get to do fun stuff like bowl and paint chairs and play whiffle ball with Bill Murray. It was super fun and for a great cause. You've got athletes and actresses and musicians and all kinds of people painting chairs. I'm super happy to be a part of it," the WWE Superstar said

According to reports, Punk wanted to retire because he was tired of losing and is unhappy with the WWE as a whole. Unlike Rey Mysterio who recently had his contract extended by the organization.

Other reports say that 35-year-old Punk assessed himself as being physically unable to perform, but it is unknown why Punk really walked away from the WWE ring for good.

Punk is a WWE Champion, World Heavyweight Champion, ECW Champion, World Tag Team Champion, Intercontinental Champion and Money in the Bank Ladder Match winner.
