The Cleveland Indians have started the 2013 season with some momentum. They've won 18 of the last 22 games and are averaging 7. 4 runs in each. Yesterday afternoon Yan Gomez hit a walk off home run to clinch a four game sweep over the Seattle Mariners. It was Gomez's second homer of the day.

Today marks a new series for the Indians. AL central rivals, the Detroit Tigers, won't be a cakewalk. Max Scherzer takes the mound today for the Tigers. Scherzer (5-0, 3.98 ERA) is coming off a loss to Houston in which he gave up 5 runs. Luckily for Detroit, Scherzer excels on the road, posting a 1.23 ERA.

To combat the loaded Detroit lineup, Indians manager Terry Francona is going with Corey Kluber (3-2, 5.40). The last time Kluber and Scherzer faced off, the Indians pitcher gave up 11 hits in less than 5 innings, before being pulled.

The Cleveland Indians are one of the hottest teams in the MLB at the moment. Terry Francona has the youngsters buying in to his fun, exciting coaching style. The Tigers on the other hand are hungry for the number one slot in their division. 2 ½ games behind Cleveland, look for Miguel Cabrera to have a big game against the inconsistent Kluber.
