'Cinderella Movie' 2015 Release Date: Fairy Tale Back on Big Screen March 13, 2015

One of Disney's most popular princesses, Cinderella, is set to make a big comeback on the big screen in 2015. The well-loved fairy tale dates back to the 1600's and was recently transposed into film through Drew Barrymore's 'Ever After: A Cinderella Story'.

The director of the already highly anticipated movie, Kenneth Brannagh, told RumorFix that the all-new Disney movie will not deviate from the original Cinderella tale and plans to stick to the original storyline. 'Game of Thrones' Robb Stark (Richard Madden) is set to play Prince Charming in the 2015 fairy tale.

The new Disney film's story, according to reports, will be told from Prince Charming's point of view. Lily James of 'Downtown Abbey' has been chosen to play the titular role, Cinderella, which was initially offered to Harry Potter's 'Emma Watson'.

According to the reports, Watson was already committed to the 'Beauty and the Beast' adaptation when she was offered the role.

The rest of the main casts includes Cate Blanchette as the wicked stepmother (Lady Tremane), Holiday Grainger as one-half of the evil stepsisters duo, (Anastacia), Sophie McSherra as Drizella, the other half of the evil stepsisters duo, and finally Cinderella's life saver, the fairy godmother will be played by Helena Bonham Carter, with a few scenes from Eloise Webb as the young Cinderella.

Cinderella is written by Aline Brosh McKenna and Chris Weitz for Walt Disney Pictures and is scheduled to premiere in movie theaters on March 13, 2015.
