"Church Rescue" New Reality Show Set to Premiere on National Geographic [More Details Inside]
This month reality TV will be starting yet another church related show, which will appear on the National Geographic Channel.
The new reality show will be called "Church Rescue" and will focus on three "church hoppers," Keven Annas (Rev Kev), Anthony Lockhart (Gladamere), and Jerry Bentley (Doc). The guys will travel to failing churches around the United States in hopes to revive their structures and the way they are ran.
Similar reality shows such as Bar Rescue, Restaurant Impossible, and Flip This House have aired with much success and "Church Rescue" hopes to follow and their footsteps.
Six episodes of the show are in the works, but additional shows will be filmed. Some churches that they will "revive" are a Full Gospel Church, a biker church, a cowboy church, and a synagogue.
In the first episode of the series, "Country Salvation," Church Hoppers pay a visit to North Carolina where Bapticostal Church holds 4-hour-long services in a sanctuary without air conditioning. The Hoppers are given 7 days to fix the church and persuade the Pastor Roseboro to go with the new renovations rather than go along with his dream to build a new sanctuary.
"If I have to spend money on this old building, you might as well forget it!" Roseboro tells them. "First, I'm in charge here. Me and God. What are you going to do about it if I say no?"
The reality series will provide some comic relief. "Church Rescue" is scheduled to air Monday, November 11 on National Geographic.
