Christian singer Luke Edgemon Makes It to Next Round on "The Voice" on NBC (VIDEO)

Tonight, "The Voice" continued on NBC with its sixth and final night of "blind auditions".  This is the last night for judges, Shakira, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Usher to round out their teams for the next stage of the show the "Battle Rounds" starting next week.

Luke Edgemon performed, "I Can't Make You Love Me" for his "blind audition".  Shakira was the first to turn around, next was Usher.  Team Usher seemed like the clear choice for this gospel driven singer, however in a surprise move Edgemon picks Team Shakira.

Edgemon's dad is a minister and mom sang in the choir as they attended very gospel infused churches.  Luke packed his things and moved to LA and started working as a backgoround singer.  He scored gigs as a background singer for the likes of Mary J. Blige and Queen Latifah.

Tune in to the "Battle Rounds" on "The Voice" starting next week to see if Luke can keep his run going.
