Chris Brown Smashup Triggered a Probation Violation That Could Land Him in Prison
After rear-ending a Mercedes on May 21, Brown has now become the target that is bumped into investigation because he allegedly refused to give the driver his license number. According to the reports, Brown hit a woman's car with his Range Rover while driving with rumored flame Karrueche Tran, but the singer gave her the wrong insurance information when they stopped to assess damage.
Because he left the spot "without fully disclosing information," the pop star could be slapped with a hit and run charge. If there is evidence to suggest he left the scene without fully disclosing information, his probation could be violated and he could face a prison term of up to four years.
Mail Online reached out to Chris' spokespeople but have yet to hear back.
Brown is said to be living with Karrueche Tran once again after another split from Rihanna. Karrueche was on hand to take photographic evidence of the smash.
According to TMZ, Karrueche has been staying with the singer since they got together again, and she has already moved most of her clothing and other personal belongings into Brown's Hollywood Hills home.
Brown was given five years of probation for the 2009 assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Since he has to obey every law during the term, a hit-and-run charge could amass to a probation violation.
The price of breaking the rules for Brown could result in up to four years behind bars. According to TMZ, Los Angeles Police are requesting to talk to the singer about the incident as soon as possible.
