‘Chicago PD’ Season 2 Premiere Live Stream, NBC Start Time, Spoilers: Will Halstead-Lindsay Romance Blossoms in Season 2?
'Chicago PD' Season 2, the police drama series spun-off from 'Chicago Fire', is all set to premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 10 pm EDT on NBC with its first episode entitled "Call It Macaroni."
After much anticipation, fans of the show will once again witness the finest Intelligence Unit of Chicago, counting Sgt. Henry "Hank" Voight (played by Jason Beghe), Antonio Dawson (portrayed by Jon Seda), Jay Halstead (played by Jesse Lee Soffer), Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and others.
As he continues to be in complete command of the squad, Voight will find himself "under close watch by the Internal Affairs" in the wake of the Sheldon Jin murder investigation.
Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) will also meet her new partner, Sean Roman (played by Brian Geraghty) and tension between the two is quite high right from the start.
In the meantime, fans of the show will not be able to witness any development of the Halstead-Lindsay romantic link. In fact, this piece of information was revealed by 'Chicago PD' executive producer Matt Olmstead, who said "the officers will have to be careful with their affections."
Talking to TVLine, Olmstead said, "(He) warned them - Halstead in particular - that he doesn't like in-house romances." If Halstead and Lindsay should want to "stay in this unit and ascend," then they have to avoid any intimate moments in front of Voight.
Olmstead also noted, "Given the opportunity, I think that they would fall into a relationship fairly quickly."
Then again, Lindsay will pay a visit to a person whom she hasn't seen for a long time - her mom, Bunny (played by Markie Post). Additional guest stars on the show include Stella Maeve, Robert Ray Wisdom and Ian Bowen.
