The Chicago Bulls will battle with the New York Knicks on December 18 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The Bulls (15-9) are looking to avoid a possible two game losing streak when they host their longtime rivals the New York Knicks on Thursday night.

The Bulls recently lost to the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 93-86 after Taj Gibson had 15 points, 17 rebounds and two blocks in a losing effort on December 15.

"We put ourselves in the hole. We should have had the lead a long time ago. Don't get me wrong, they're a great team. But we should have made sure we came out a little more aggressive at the beginning of the game," said Chicago All-Star point guard Derrick Rose to reporters.

"Shots I normally hit, tonight they were flat. I just didn't have any lift to them. I guarantee you next game that won't happen."

Meanwhile, the Knicks (5-22) are looking to prevent a potential three game losing streak when they face the Bulls at the United Center.

The Knicks were humiliated by the Dallas Mavericks when they lost by a score of 107-87 after Carmelo Anthony totaled 26 points and 4 steals in a losing effort on Tuesday night.

"They were ready to play from the start. We weren't," said Anthony to reporters after his former teammate Tyson Chandler made his appearance to MSG following the blockbuster trade in the offseason.

"We kind of got backed up on our heels and then we decided to come out and play and pick it up after that."
