Chelsea will face a tough test in the Champions League today against Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge Stadium in London.

Chelsea come into this game after finishing the first leg with a scoreless tie against this season's best Spanish team thus far, Atletico Madrid on April 22.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho recently talked about his team playing Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the semi-finals on Tuesday afternoon.

"In this moment football is full of philosophers, full of people that understand much more than me," said Mourinho to reporters. "The reality is always the reality. A team that doesn't defend well, doesn't have many chances to win.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid recently eliminated Barcelona from the competition 2-1 on aggregate over the two legs of their quarter final match up on April 9 before battling Chelsea last week in the semi-finals. Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone knows that defeating Chelsea will be a difficult challenge to them.

"They [are] not a counterattacking side, they're a good side," said Simeone to reporters. "They defend well. They score goals. They win matches. A very good team. There are some matches that are 'special', and the match every player wants to play is the Champions League final. After that, the next best game is the second leg of the Champions League semi-final. So we have to enjoy it. After the game, let's see if we go to Lisbon or not. I will go for sure in the summer anyway. But let's see if we can go together."

The winner of the Atletico Madrid or Chelsea match today will face Real Madrid in the finals on May 24 in Lisbon, Portugal, after Real destroyed holders Bayern Munich 4-0 in Tuesday's other semifinal game.
