'Charmed' Reboot on CBS / "Re-Imagining of Popular Witch TV Show / Script Ordered, New Cast?

Charmed fans should be happy to know the popular witch show is getting a reboot. Apparently CBS doesn't think there are enough shows on TV dealing with the supernatural and want to get a piece of the pie.

According to Vulture, co-creator of 90s hit Party of Five Chris Keyseris reportedly writing the script for a "re-imagining" of the popula WB series, alongside Sydney Sidner. Right now the script is just ordered, as far as possible plot and cast details, nothing has been confirmed.

The original Charmed TV show starred 90s icons and early 2000s starlets Alyssa Milano, Shannen Doherty, Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs. The series, that ran for 8 seasons [1998-2006] centered around three sisters who were the supreme witches of their time, the "Charmed Ones" as many of the fans already know.

Hey if CBS could reboot old TV classics like Hawaii Five-0, Prime Suspect and Ironside, whose to say they wouldn't try their hand with a new, updated Charmed, especially given the craze shows like American Horror Story Coven have helped rekindle?

A long with a Charmed reboot, NBC is also currently working on production for a re-imagined Murder, She Wrote starring Oscar winner Octavia Spencer.

Will you tune in for a new series of Charmed? Do you think they'll use the original cast or start fresh?
