The long awaited teaser video for 'Castle' Season 7 has finally been released, and fans were surprised to see that Rick Castle is missing from the Season 6 car wreck that closed out the installment.

The video shows Kate Beckett panicked while she hastily searches through the debris for her fiancée. However, she turns up with nothing as Castle is mysteriously gone, which hints that he's not dead after all.

The trailer also confirmed that Season 7 will not have a time lapse from the finale and they will continue the story directly from where they left off.

In the video, Beckett is still wearing her wedding gown as the voice-over says, "On the most important day of their lives ... why did the love of her life, vanish. The search is on for Castle."

The trailer started off with Beckett looking like the perfect bride in her mother's wedding gown and Castle was happily driving over to the venue. Soon after that the Season 6 car crash happens, and Beckett is shown nearing the wreck, as firemen fight to extinguish the flames.

"He is not in the car," said Beckett exhausted after her frantic and desperate search.

New show-runner, David Amann, told Give Me My Remote, "It's going to be dealing with the aftermath of what happened in the season finale. We have some really intriguing questions that are going to arise from this about what happened to Castle. So we're going to raise some interesting questions for the next couple of episodes in terms of what happened to Castle and why."
