'Castle' Season 6 ended in a terrible car accident that almost took Nathan Fillion's life. As a result, his highly anticipated wedding with Kate Beckett is indefinitely postponed, but the bride-to-be has become focused and dedicated to find the culprit behind the incident.

In an interview with Give Me My Remote, executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe teased that the seventh season opens with Beckett (played by Stana Katic) trying to solve the mystery.

"That's really her focus and her mission. She's going to do that, and she's going to take that as far as she can go to get answers. That's what she's focused on," the 'Castle' show-runner said.

Also, Marlowe added that although Nathan's accident will take up the first few episodes of the season, it will also deal "with a relationship that has deeper understanding and also deeper curiosity to it," the kind that Castle is known for.

Moreover, Chad Collins, who also appeared on ABC's 'Once Upon a Time', is the newest addition to the cast. He will be playing as a guest star in an episode entitled "Clear & Present Danger."

Collins is Tom Talmadge, "a tech start-up entrepreneur who was assaulted under mysterious circumstances," Give Me My Remote reported. In a tweet, Collins said, "Had a blast shooting @Castle_ABC today. Thx for being hilarious scene padnahs @NathanFillion and @Stana_Katic. I shall do succubi research."

'Castle' Season 7 returns on September 29 at its usual timeslot on ABC every Monday nights at 10 PM.
