The popular ABC crime drama series, 'Castle', will be returning on the air to start its Season 7 with an episode entitled, "Driven."

The premiere episode is highly-anticipated since it is expected to answer the mystery from last season's cliffhanger, where Kate Beckett received a phone call saying that her groom's car is engulfed in flames.

The producers of the show promised that the seventh season will pick up right where the previous season left off. True enough, the recently released sneak peek video for the season premiere shows that the first episode will actually continue from last season's finale.

The premiere preview shows Beckett, still in her wedding dress, standing somewhere near her groom's burning car. Despite being warned by officers that the situation is helpless and there is nothing she can do, Beckett rushes down to the side of the car as she waits for the firemen to stop the fire. When the inferno is finally put to rest, it's revealed that Rick Castle is not inside the car.

In another episode preview, Beckett is seen trying to find traces of her missing groom by entering a junkyard where a car related to Castle's case is located. Beckett was able to locate the vehicle, but it ended up getting crushed into junk metal.

Reports say that Castle's car crash and disappearance will be explained by the time the second episode airs, but the incident will leave some details that will haunt some characters throughout the show.

"It's a sufficient amount of resolution that the characters can move and get back to life as they knew it, but the effects of what happened to Castle will re-emerge and re-assert themselves later in the season," David Amann, the show's executive producer, told TV Guide.

It is said that after Beckett finds Castle, she will question how well she knows her fiancé as some of Castle's secrets are revealed.

'Castle' returns for its seventh season on Monday, 29 September on ABC.
