'Castle' is an American crime drama television series on ABC Network. The show primarily revolves around the lives of Richard Castle, a mystery novelist and Kate Beckett, an NYPD homicide detective. The two solve various crimes throughout New York City.

Richard Castle is played by Nathan Fillion while Kate Beckett is played by Stana Katic.

The show ended its sixth season with a scene that depicted main character Castle's car engulfed in flames. This has fans worried about the fate of the main character and about the direction of the show from there.

There have been rumors about actor Fillion not signing up again to play his role in Season 7. This initially brought fans fear that Castle won't be making an appearance again on the show and was speculated to have died. However, the rumors were proven false, and were even turned into good news that Fillion was in fact signing to reprise the role for the next installment.

Fillion signing again as a cast member only meant that his character could not possibly have died in the fire, and somehow managed to survive.

"Castle season 7 will most likely pick up right where it left off - at the car accident. We feel like, given the way we left off, we have an obligation to start exactly where we ended," Marlowe told TVLine.

What's more, new cast members will be joining the series to help in the mystery of Castle's car accident. One of these characters will be a highly intelligent yet unassuming agent named Henry. The actor who will play him is still unconfirmed. Aside from Henry, some of the new characters will be a Hampton's police sergeant, a shrink, a doctor, and a coast guard captain.

'Castle' Season 7 will premiere on ABC on September.
