'Castle' Season 6 Spoilers: Creator Andrew Marlowe Confirms Cast Will Portray 'More Committal' Characters
Fans of the hit TV show "Castle" are eager to see what will happen next in Season 6, as the show has left off on a number of cliff hangers. For spoilers from show creator Andrew W. Marlowe, read on.
Marlowe recently sat down with TV Guide for an interview. He discussed the last episode of "Castle" as well as what fans can expect for the future.
He spoke to the fact that Beckett did not have her mother through her wedding planning.
"We thought it was appropriate, given the fact that Beckett lost her mom, to have a moment where she acknowledges that her mother isn't part of the wedding planning. This is something that mothers and daughters usually do together. There's this moment where [Matilda's] looking at Beckett like a daughter.
"I think that keys Beckett to realize she and Castle have been doing all this planning, and that she has this hole that she hasn't acknowledged. It sneaks up on her, but when it hits, it hits like an anvil and it sends her a little bit off balance," Marlowe said.
Marlow also discussed how Castle and Beckett are relating to each other, and how they will continue to regard each other in future episodes.
"The characters are getting a little more committal. You heard Castle halfway through the episode say that he's wasted enough time and that he just wants to get to the other side because that's where he want to be in life. So, we're watching a process of something that was very theoretical for the two of them at the beginning of the season starting to crystallize. I think that there are going to be other issues that come up, but I think that the characters have a sense of where they want to head," the show creator said.
