Cassadee Pope returns to The Voice on June 4 to perform her newest single, "Wasting All These Tears."

Powerhouse singer Cassadee Pope, known for her hits "Stupid Boy" and "Over You" is returning to her television alma mater, The Voice, on June 4. She will be playing her newest single, "Wasting All These Tears." This visit is to promote the single from her up-and-coming album, scheduled to release later this year. It promises to showcase the versatility that she demonstrated on The Voice, mixing her rock roots with the sounds of modern country.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Pope said that "[Fans] can expect a mixture. I grew up singing country music. It's always spoken to me; it's always felt natural. Then I had a band. I did the whole rock thing as a teenager. Now I'm merging both. It's very relevant to country music now, there's a lot of country-rock, country-pop going on. What you saw on the show, me covering 'Cry' and 'Stupid Boy,' that stuff is very similar to my original songs, so they can expect the same kind of vibe."

Pope says that the one question that she gets over and over again is whether or not here former coach and mentor Blake Shelton would appear on her next album. As of now, there are no concrete plans to make that happen, but Pope does say "I would love that. I do have a song that I think would be great for him to sing on and hopefully that will work out. I still have to record that myself, so there's still time. Hopefully we'll get him in the studio and he'll sing a verse or something like that." Without Shelton, she'll have to settle for opening up for the likes of The Band Perry and Rascal Flatts on the Live and Loud tour, which is not a bad gig to have. They will be playing dates from the beginning of June throughout the fall.

When she's not singing, she tries to stay busy doing other things. The country rocker is also showing her softer, more charitable side, by partnering with the organization Outnumber Hunger, which helps feed those in need. She also still tries to watch The Voice whenever she can. She's still rooting for Team Blake. In the same interview, she says "I'm officially The Swon Brothers' fan. They blew my mind. I love them, and if they won I'd be so excited. But I gotta pull for a girl again. Gotta make it balance. It was two guys; now it's gotta be two girls. Danielle I think has a real good chance."

When asked to give advice to the current contestants, Pope says they need to "...keep doing what they're doing. Obviously, people love it. Stay true to themselves. To pull something out of a hat at this point when things are going so well and people are loving what they're doing is just not the best move."

Tune in to The Voice on NBC on July 4th to hear her new single, "Wasting All These Tears."
