Carly Ray Jespen's Wild First Pitch Leaves Fans Laughing; Rays Win; Video here!

Carly Ray Jespen, the 27-year-old, pop singer who's hit melodic "Call Me Maybe" has been atop the charts for weeks, should not consider a career switch to baseball.

The teeny-bopper pop star was chosen to throw the first pitch at a Tampa Bay Rays home game on Sunday night. With tens of thousands in the stands and people watching across the nation, Jespen, decked out in a baby blue Rays Jersey, white fishnet stalkings, acid washed shorts, grey Converse sneakers, and a blue baseball cap stepped on top of the pitcher's mound with all the confidence in the world.

She reared back, and with all her might, threw the ball directly into the ground, where it pitifully rolled to the far right of home based. Good natured Jespen began laughing and slapping her knees, along with the roaring crowd. In her defense,  Jespen managed to throw a strike earlier in the season in Baltimore at a Orioles game, according to the Baltimore Sports Report.

its clear the pop-star's strong suit isn't athletics. She ran to meet Ray's Pitcher, Matt Moore, to join in a laugh and hug after the embarrassing throw.

Jespen, having no shame, posted a series of photos of the terrible toss on Instagram, stating, "A before and after. Me taking the mound. Me knocking the camera out of the photographers hands with the baseball. And me getting a sympathy hug from the catcher. Omg."

Dispite Jespen's bout of  bad luck to start the game, the Rays went on to beat the Houston Astros 5-0
