'Captain America: Civil War' Release Date, Spoilers, News: Death of A Main Character To Be Unveiled

Marvel cinematic universe (MCU) is set to expand further with the impending release of "Captain America: Civil War," inspired by the famous comic arc by Mark Millar.

Since the official announcement about its release broke out, fans have been wondering if the film will stick with the storyline of its source material and scotch a major character in the end. The film is also seen to have some repercussions on MCU if the most recent synopsis teased for "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." serves as a forewarning.

In the American television series, there is a growing civil war between humans and the super-powered inhumans, and previews for its May 10th episode seem to indicate that Team Captain America might have to lose.

"In the aftermath of the events of 'Captain America: Civil War,' S.H.I.E.L.D. feels pressure to reveal their involvement with inhumans. But with the stakes higher than ever and Hive growing stronger, the team is tested in ways they could never anticipate," one preview said.

While there is a big chance that Team Captain America loses in the end, "Civil War" screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely recently denied that the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." synopsis ever has to do with the upcoming film.

In a separate interview, however, Clark Gregg teased the connections between "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Captain America: Civil War."

"It's something that's gone on since the end of last season when Coulson made Mack and Daisy partners. She's an inhuman and he seems to be the most suspicious of aliens and inhumans. That division is very much manifested in our team. Our show is looking at this inhumans outbreak, and that's really where the concept of a civil war, our own version of it, is happening," he said.

"Captain America: Civil War" promises an array of friendly heroes going for each other. In a recent interview, star Chris Evans hinted at the death of one major character when he said that they had filmed a funeral scene with "a little bit of stunt work."

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, "Captain America: Civil War" will hit theaters on May 6.
