'Captain America 3' Release Date, Plot Spoilers: Hawkeye Jeremy Renner Teams Up With Chris Evans in Film
In a new interview, 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' actor Jeremy Renner talked about the rumors that claimed he would reprise his role as Hawkeye and team up with Captain America in the third installment of the 'Captain America' movie franchise.
"There are rumblings of Captain America 3. I don't know what's going to happen there. I've got to find the time, man (he laughed). I'm trying to stay home and I can't," said Renner to Collider.
The website also suggested that if the 43-year-old California native appears in the 'Captain America 3' film, then most likely Scarlett Johansson would not reprise her role as Black Widow in the aforementioned blockbuster motion picture in order to finally make a movie based on the popular female Shield member.
In the same interview, Renner also talked about the other films that he will be involved with, those other than the Marvel films that he will appear in the future.
"Kill the Messenger is a great one for our company... Another one is King of Heists that's about the biggest bank robbery in American History. It's very, very exciting. It's kind of like Heat in the early 1900's," said Renner.
"It's really cool. And then, there's a Steve McQueen project (McQueen) that's fascinating to me. I love that guy. He's so the antithesis of himself constantly. It's amazing. And then Slingshot is a great rally racing movie... But then, I still have Mission: Impossible 5 that I'm going to shoot in a week. And then, Bourne will happen next summer."
In another interview, 'Captain America 3' film writers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus revealed what fans of the popular film can expect to see when 'The First Avenger' battles injustice in a post-World War 2 era.
"We've definitely set out on a more realistic road in the Cap movies, you know. Even more grounded than in the other MCU movies. And so it kind of rules out Cap fighting the Dinosaur Man or something like that," said Markus to the Den of Geek.
"There are some that aren't gonna start and other ones that - I mean there's a couple we're playing with right now that we really want to take elements from. Which we'll not reveal... All I'm saying is psychotic 1950s Cap."
The 'Captain America 3' film will arrive in movie theaters on May 6, 2016.
