Capital Entertainment Artists Troy Sneed, Earnest Pugh, Chrystal Rucker & Tim Bowman Jr. Set to Perform at WXOK’s 59th Anniversary Concert
It's become an annual ritual for the top names in gospel music to make a pilgrimage to Baton Rouge to celebrate the city's #1 gospel radio station, WXOK 1460 AM. This year four Capital Entertainment artists such as Troy Sneed, Earnest Pugh, Chrystal Rucker and Tim Bowman Jr. will perform alongside other sterling artists at the station's 59th anniversary concert. What's being hailed as "Gospel's Biggest Night in Baton Rouge" will take place Friday, November 16th @ 7 p.m. at Istrouma Baptist Church, 10500 Sam Rushing Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
Troy Sneed is one of gospel's biggest artists of the last decade. His latest tune "Lay It Down" is currently a Top Ten smash. The Jacksonville, FL resident got his start as a Savoy Records recording artist in the 1990s and collaborated with Rev. Milton Brunson on the Georgia Mass Choir's participation in Whitney Houston's "The Preacher's Wife" film and soundtrack. Circa 2004, Sneed opened his own Emtro Gospel label where he's enjoyed other top hits such as "The Struggle is Over," "Worked it Out" and "My Heart Says Yes."
Earnest Pugh has become known as Gospel's Leading man for his warm and smooth ballads such as the #1 hits "I Need Your Glory" and "Rain On Us." This fall he's releasing his first holiday CD, "Christmas with Earnest Pugh & Friends" on his own EPM Music Group label. One of his acts is veteran singer Chrystal Rucker who is currently enjoying her first national hit with the dynamic worship ballad, "You Deserve" from her Top CD of the same name. Gospel legend Vickie Winans' nephew Tim Bowman Jr. also joins the celebration. His "Beautiful" debut CD hit the Billboard Top Ten this year and features the radio smash, "He Will," a duet with Winans. For more information, visit www.heaven1460.com.
