Canon 7D Mark II Release Date: Canon Issues September 2014 Release, Prototype Spotted During FIFA World Cup
It has now been confirmed that the Cannon 7D Mark II, which succeeds Canon 7D EOS, will be released some time in mid-September. Recently Canon made an announcement in this regard during the Photokina event organized in Colonge, Germany.
According to some reports a prototype of the Cannon 7D Mark II was spotted during the FIFA 2014 World Cup in Brazil, where the company is rumored to have used the latest addition to Canon's APS-C DLSR camera line as a testing ground.
The company has already revealed the specs of the Canon 7D Mark II, which is expected to be built similar to the smaller EOS-1D X and feature an integrated grip design. In addition, it is expected that the upcoming Canon camera will also have an EOS-1D style top plate. In other words, it will not have a mode dial on top.
Even though the camera will have an EOS-1D style top plate, it will come with a pop-up flash. It will also incorporate WiFi and GPS without requiring any additional accessories. This suggests that the photographers might be able to access their E-mail or Facebook accounts on the camera, and also directly upload photos they take to social media.
The other features of the camera include a 20-megapixel sensor, an ISO exposure of 100-12,800 with a maximum shutter speed of 25,600, 1/8000 in conjunction with Quiet shutter mode, Phase detect Auto Focus, in addition to nonstop shooting of up to 8 frames per second.
Many professional photographers are expecting the MkII's viewfinder to be on the new camera. Moreover, it is rumored that the viewfinder will have 100 percent coverage as well as 1.15x image enlargement, which is higher compared its predecessor. This means that photographers will be able to take extremely high quality photos with this highly-anticipated upcoming new camera.
