Dozens of people on social media are calling for prayer after what was meant to be a peaceful candlelight vigil for teenager Michael Brown, turned into full on riots and looting in the street of St. Louis.
According to news reports, hundreds of protesters assembled outside Ferguson Police headquarters in St. Louis chanting, "Don't shoot me," holding their hands up in surrender before the actual riots broke out.

"Right now, the small group of people are creating a huge mess," Ferguson Mayor James Knowles said, according to the AP, "Contributing to the unrest that is going on is not going to help. ... We're only hurting ourselves, only hurting our community, hurting our neighbors. There's nothing productive from this."
Knowles added, "We're going to obviously try to urge calm."
News 4 reported that at least two officers suffered injuries and 32 people were arrested. Police in some areas allegedly used tear gas.
Brown was unarmed and walking down the street when he was shot and killed by a police officer on Saturday according to witness Dorian Johnson. Johnson told reporters that he was walking home with Brown when a police officer in his vehicle told them to get out of the street, the two kept walking and the officer allegedly got out of the car and fired a shots, 18 year old, Brown, was killed.
