Call of Duty: Ghosts for the Xbox 360 received a worldwide discount for the New Year as part of the Xbox Live Countdown to 2014 sale.

The deal is only going on until the the ball drops to January 1 along with a bunch of other titles for the console including, GTA V, Diablo III, 360 classic titles such as Bully and Midnight Club: LA. See the rest of the deals here.

CoD will receive different discounts depending on the location of the individual playing it. In the UK it will receive a 30% discount, Europe will get 29%, Australia 40%, and everyone else 25%.

Call of Duty: Ghosts was named the top selling Xbox One game in North America and also the most played multiplayer game globally.

VG247 said it was the best selling Xbox One game at Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and GameStop as Activision confirmed it was also the no. 1 pre-ordered game for the console as well.

Ghosts is also the top selling PS4 game, and the 360 version is the most played online.

The game was released for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii U on Nov. 5, and arrived with the PS4 on Nov. 15 and with the Xbox One on Nov. 22.
