‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ Release Date on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC - Gameplay Comparison - Which Platform Plays it Best?
'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' arrived on store shelves Tuesday, Nov. 4, and fans are already arguing about which console is best suited to showcase the game.
The 'Call of Duty' video game franchise released its latest title, on virtually all modern platforms. The game is available for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.
There's slight differences between the ports of the game on each platform. For example, the PS3 port fits the game onto a single disc, while the Xbox 360 version comes with two, an install disc and a game disc.
However, when the game starts, players of the Xbox 360 version claim that the images and graphics are much sharper than that of the PS3 version. On the other hand, PS3 gamers said the game runs smoother than the Xbox 360 port which is kind of choppy.
Taking into account that the game is also available on the next-gen consoles, gamers playing on the PS4 or Xbox One will notice some major graphical differences when compared to the older consoles.
On that note, gamers playing the Windows PC version will also avail top of the line graphics, and some gamers will even argue that computers can run better graphics than consoles in general.
With the tagline, "Power Changes Everything," the 'Call of Duty' franchise's latest offering is satisfying analysts who were worried about the future of the series. Analysts were worried about 'Advanced Warfare' after its predecessor 'Call of Duty: Ghosts' garnered a lackluster reception and negative reviews.
'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' was said to have the potential to turn it around as it offers what could be seen as a full sci-fi film experience, with invisibility capabilities, mech suits, tanks, an army, huge set pieces, occasional vista shots, panoramic views, and more.
'Advanced Warfare' also benefited from a positive word of mouth, analysts claimed, as it helped increase hype for the game. The game's single and multiplayer context is also a plus for gamers, as the 'Call of Duty' franchise's multiplayer offering is a perk that could encourage teams of gamers to patronize the game.
On that note, analysts are awaiting the official sales numbers for the first month of 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare'. The game is also expected to sell more during the holidays season, as its rival games, such as 'Batman: Arkham Knight', 'Battlefield Hardline', and 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt', have been delayed for 2015.
