Bruno Mars Mother Dies Suddenly in Hawaii, Summer 2013 Tour Dates with Ellie Goulding and Fitz & The Tantrums Uncertain

Bruno Mar's (Peter Hernandez) mother passed away suddenly on Saturday in Hawaii. She had a brain aneurysm and was taken to Queens Medical Center where she died. She was only 55 years old.

The Grammy award winning singers mother was a singer and hula dancer in Hawaii while Bruno Mars was growing up. Mars started singing and performing at age 4 in his families show. 

In 2010 Mars won a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his song, "Just the Way You Are".  

Mars just released his second album and has to current radio hits with "Locked Out of Heaven" and "When I Was Your Man".  

He is supposed to kick off the Summer leg of his "Moonshine Jungle Tour" on June 22 at The Verizon Center in Washington D.C. This show, along with several others have already sold out. 

This tour will also feature Ellie Goulding and Fitz & The Tantrums. There is been no comment yet on if his mother's death will cancel any of these upcoming shows.
