Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals begin tonight between the surprising Boston Bruins and physical Chicago Blackhawks. Given the shortened schedule in the 2013 NHL season, this is the first time two teams from different conferences will be playing each other.

The Boston Bruins probable put together one of the most impressive series in the 2013 playoffs against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Chicago's level of intensity on defense was the number one concern coming into the 2013 playoffs, but Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford has been in phenomenal form lately, posting a 94% save percentage. Crawford's giving the Blackhawks a real chance to win the 2013 Stanley Cup finals.

Both the Bruins and Blackhawks are as they deadly as they come with the penalty kill. Both Bruins coach Claude Julien and Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville know how important it is to kill off those 2 minute opportunities when they come up.

What about star power? Edge to the Blackhawks? Grit? The Bruins?

The surprise guy in the entire postseason: Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask. Holding the Penguins to two goals over four game was one of the most impressive storylines in the 2013 NHL playoffs.

What about the role guys? Blackhawks left winger Bryan Bickell has been terrific for Chicago. Nathan Horton led the incredible goal scoring run for the Bruins after being in danger of elimination against the Maple Leafs.
